James J. Kennedy CPCU, LUTCF

President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Kennedy joined the Ohio Mutual Insurance Group as Chief Executive Officer in February 2003 and was elected President 10 months later. His 30 years of industry experience include both agency and company experience, including senior level positions at Indiana Insurance, GRE Insurance Group, and Shelby Insurance Company.

Randy T. O'Conner CPCU, AIM

Executive Vice President

Mr. O’Conner has been an associate of Ohio Mutual Insurance Group since 1999, having served in his current role since July 2005. His previous experience includes positions at Motorists Mutual, the Atlantic Companies, and Beacon Insurance Company, and as part of the founding management team for Great Oaks Insurance Company.

Michael R. Horvath CPCU

Vice President, Human Resources

Bringing more than 30 years of property and casualty insurance experience, Mr. Horvath joined Ohio Mutual in July 2003. His prior experience includes serving as Manager-Servicing and Staffing for the Westfield Group, positions in marketing, underwriting, and human resources with the Shelby Insurance Company, and in human resources with Anthem Casualty Company.

Michael A. Brogan SCLA, AIC

Vice President, Claims

Mr. Brogan began his tenure at Ohio Mutual Insurance Group in December 2003. He has more than 30 years experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, having held claims management positions at Indiana Insurance Company, Crum and Forster Commercial Insurance Company, Shelby Insurance Company, and Anthem Casualty Insurance Group.

David G. Hendrix CPA, CPCU

Chief Financial Officer

Before joining Ohio Mutual Insurance Group in July 2005, Mr. Hendrix served as the Forensic Accounting Manager for the office of the Ohio Insurance Liquidator, and with Ernst & Young, LLP. He is a member of both the American Institute and Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Thomas M. Holtshouse CPCU

Vice President, Product Management

Mr. Holtshouse has been an associate of Ohio Mutual Insurance Group since 1972, having held a variety of key positions during his tenure. He has served as a member of company senior management since 1985 and assumed his current position in July 2005.

Todd Albert

Vice President, Information Systems

Mr. Albert joined Ohio Mutual Insurance Group in February 2001. Prior to joining Ohio Mutual Insurance Group, he held positions in information systems with Shelby Insurance Companies, Policy Management Systems Corporation, and R. H. Phillips Investments Ltd.

Kevin Rall

Vice President, Sales & Personal Lines Underwriting

Mr. Rall joined Ohio Mutual Insurance Group in 2001. Prior to joining Ohio Mutual Insurance Group, he worked in information systems with Shelby Insurance.  He assumed his current position in March 2011.
